Hi Michael, thanks for the write up. Have held this company for a couple of years now and agree that it is very undervalued. However, management does not seem to be motivated to return capital to shareholders or to unlock value, ie via share buybacks or other corporate actions. Wonder if you have spoken to them about any of these issues?

They just announced a privatization plan for a total of $1 HKD per share.

Hi, no I haven't been able to set up a call and they don't particularly receptive to investors to be honest. Their set-up in terms of investor relations is not particularly sophisticated. Fellow Substack author Ong Wee Hiang met them recently and says that they're not keen on share buybacks and that dividends will remain low https://www.weightedcapital.com/p/2024-week-39-third-quarter

The underlying business seems to be doing fine though.

Thanks for the tip. Will touch base with him. On the one hand, it's admirable that they don't really care about the share price and fully focus their energies on growing the business. On the other hand, the shares will probably remain undervalued for a long time and we're going to have to wait indefinitely until there's some sort of catalyst..
