The success of IVF more corellates with the age of embryo rather that the age of the mother. I think the real opportunity is in freezing and storing eggs as governments realise they need to do more. Israel has very high fertility rates and also more stored frozen eggs than the US. Still looking for a way to play this...
Hi Russell, I wanted to ask you about this. What do you mean by the "age of the embryo" - you mean the mother's age at the time the embryo is freezed?
Interesting regarding freezing. I read during my research process that there are now specialised clinics in NYC and elsewhere that specialise in freezing eggs and embryos, and nothing else. Those companies are private, however.
the table shows that when you use donor eggs, the age of the mother does not materially change the likelihood of going full term. That is the age of the donor (and egg) is more important. Of course freezing and unfreezing the egg could be a problem, but that has not turned up in the stats that I have seen. I think the egg storage business looks great, but have not found a good play
It is a huge industry and the US is right at the heart of it. My husband and I are undergoing surrogacy - just matched with a surrogate - and there are just so many third parties involved ($$$) and key players are all based on the West Coast.

There is a short thesis on progyny BTW. I'm not affiliated with jehosophat and am not opining on the piece.

Thanks! Very helpful
Completely agree with your thesis. My chosen play is Jinxin which was outlined here https://www.ramblinginvestor.com/p/opportunity-in-dropping-birth-rates
Thanks! Appreciate it

That's fascinating. Good luck with the whole process! I can imagine it's not going to come cheap.
