Great write-up! Oriental Watch (398 HK) pays special dividends, thus higher yield than shown above. Management also seems much better than avg HK listing, bought back lots of shares. Still, carry much cash (also to please rolex?), thus EV/Ebit a bit misleading.
Yes, 398.hk might go down, but, on the other hand Emperor recently came out with positive profit warning, though when looking at them yesterday, seems mostly their jewelry segment is booming and growing (new stores)
Your passion for research does show in every article you write. I loved the background information.
Thanks Axel!
Great article. Love the chart of discount/premium by brand, very informative.
Thanks Jack!
For a bit of education and definitely a laugh, check out Nico Leonard on Youtube.
Lol yes he's hilarious

Thanks! Yeah I saw the buybacks, those are unusual in an Asian context. I want to own the stock personally but thinking it might be a bit early.

You should look at Ethos ltd. It's Indias largest luxury retailer with strong economics. Can share my notes and discuss it with you
Great research BTW. Loved it
Loved writing it, too!
Ok! Thanks will have a look
Great article...
Just FYI, Kering sold its stake in Ulysse Nardin & GP recently
Oh I see. Heard some noise about GP becoming independent, should've connected the dots. Thanks
Very insightful! I guess more storytelling for brands = more turning into Nike. :)
