Some of the greatest corporate evils today come from investment bankers. From pre-IPO accounting shenanigans to pump-n-dump, the Mephistopheles behind the scenes are the ultimate villains, tempting company boards to sell their soul. A substantive improvement in corporate governance comes when some of these bankers in Asia are dealt with - Mussolini style.

Thanks this is a great overview of the landscape

Just one question - the distribution of returns on the ASX by independent director count is super interesting

Did you see any studies on what KIND of external directors tend to drive value?

My guess would be having some industry expertise is helpful, appointing say... A female astronaut or maybe a movie star is not really likely to drive value
