COVID restrictions are being eased around Asia. Restrictions are being eased in South Korea and potentially in Hong Kong. There are also early signs that Shanghai will let some residents out of their homes.
China’s credit growth was strong in the first quarter of 2022. Such strong numbers usually precede higher fixed asset investment but could also affect the currency.
