Kansai Electric Power, JR Central, August portfolio update, Kyle Bass, Niall Ferguson
Yesterday, I published a report on Japanese electric utility Kansai Electric Power. Nuclear power plants in Japan were shut down after the Fukushima disaster in 2011, but they’re finally being restarted. In Kansai Electric’s case, their seven reactors will all become up and running by July 2023. On the other hand, its debt levels are high, and high fuel costs are putting temporary pressure on margins.
